Beauty Look for an Interview:
Get that Job with the Perfect Look

Beauty Look for an Interview A post

Looking and dressing the part for a job interview is quite important. If you want to get that job, it pays to pay attention to your looks. Of course, dressing up neat and professional is a must. But did you know that your makeup also plays an important part? Avoid overdoing or underdoing your look for an interview. Here’s everything you need to take note of from makeup to beauty essentials.

Prepping the Skin

It’s vital to wash your face first before applying your makeup. For me, a favorite cleanser that isn’t too harsh on the skin is Cure Natural Aqua Gel. Unlike other facial washes, I like that this facial wash gently exfoliates without the need for rough beads. I’d suggest you use this especially if you have sensitive skin.

Prim(e) and Proper
I’m a big fan of primers as these help makeup last for hours. This is especially helpful for an interview because you can’t always head to the bathroom for quick touch-ups. For an impressive coverage that’ll last you the whole day, go for Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Radiance. I like that this blends easily and that it has a moisturizing effect on my skin, without making it look oily or greasy.

Fight the Flaws
After priming up, it’s best to use a compact powder for that matte finish. One of my faves includes Benefit’s Hello Flawless! I love that this not only gives a matte finish, but it gives my skin a natural glow. The best part is that it doesn’t feel heavy on the face.

Beautiful Brows

The first thing I’d notice about a person’s face would be their eyebrows. I’d like to think other people do the same. So, make an impression at your interview by putting your best brows forward. For this, go for K-Palette Lasting 2-Way Eyebrow. Compared to other brow pens and liners, I just love that this makes my eyebrows look natural.

Swipe in the Drama
While it’s best to skip the eyeliner or eye shadow for an interview, I’d still suggest you use mascara which adds definition to the eyes. I like T. LeClerc Mascara as it gives my lashes the instant oomph, without the clumps.

Cue in the Color
For that pinched cheeks look, Stila Custom Color Blush offers just the right amount of pink. I like that it feels silky on the skin. As for your lips, I’d skip the red lipstick for an interview. Rather than use lipstick, go for Clinique’s Chubby Sticks in Supreme Sorbet or Super Strawberry. I love that these moisturize the lips and make it look plump and smooth.

Finish with Fragrance

For a scent that won’t overpower your interviewer, I’d suggest fragrances by Escada. My favorite would be Especially Escada as it has that lovely fruity, floral scent that lasts the whole day. Plus, it doesn’t overpower the senses.
