A Tribute For Moms: Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s L’eau À La Rose Fragrance

Your best friend, your confidante—for the greatest woman in your life, she only deserves the best. A bouquet of her favorite flowers, a handwritten letter…it’s the best time to spoil and pamper her. For Mother’s Day, why not go the extra mile and indulge her with one of the hottest beauty picks this season? Let her swoon with a fresh release from Maison Francis Kurkdjian: the L’eau À la rose.

From the beginning of time, the grandeur of the rose has been paraded in museums and libraries by artists and storytellers alike giving it the title “Queen of Flowers”. It’s no different for the art of perfume. Dating back to the 18th century, floral scents were originally created as a tribute for prominent members of nobility. What better gift for the queen of the household? Take a whiff, and she’ll surely be entranced!

Celebrated perfumer and François Coty Award recipient, Francis Kurkdjian, created the l’eau À la rose Eau De Toilette—a contemporary take on the allure of the rose. Flowers have long fascinated him because of their universal language and beauty. He displays unparalleled craftsmanship from his extensive olfactive wardrobe of bespoke scents, yet again redefining the world of luxury French perfumery. Your mother will surely remember this standout fragrance for years to come.

L’eau À la rose is inspired by the “Marie Antoinette with a Rose”, an iconic painting by Élisabeth Louise Vigée Le Brun from 1783, currently displayed at New York’s The Met Museum. The formal portrait of the Queen of France—clad in her silver lace-trimmed dress—features her holding her signature flower, the Centifolia rose, in bloom.

A homage to femininity, the scent is a fruity floral fragrance with woody notes featuring the Centifolia rose from Grasse—the world’s perfume capital—and Damascena rose from Bulgaria, warmed by an invigorating blend of cedar wood and musk. Infused with lychee accord, the scent is fruity contrasted with a violet flower accord. Four hundred roses are freshly bloomed in each bottle—a declaration of love translated into a fragrance. Its whimsical elegance radiates grace.

Tempted to treat yourself, too? Spritz the delicate fragrance, let the sillage linger, and leave a lasting impression. Make it your signature scent! Exclusive to Asia and Pacific, the fragrance will be available at Rustan’s Beauty Source this May 2019.
