Summer is officially here and I bet you can already feel its effects on your skin, hair, and hands. From dry skin to frizzy hair, it’s a nightmare for us women! No matter what your age, the heat has disastrous effects on your body. For day out with mom, we went shopping for the best and not to mention budget friendly products that would help us beat the heat.
Phyto 9 Ultra-Dry Hair Nourishing Day Cream with 9 Plants
Humidity and heat does a lot of damage on your hair. Plus with the combination of saltwater if you’re at the beach, your hair is certain to be suffering from split ends and dryness. So what’s my solution? I use Phyto 9 Ultra-Dry Hair Nourishing Day Cream with 9 Plants. This weightless leave-on conditioner instantly hydrates, protects, and smoothens out dry, frizzy hair. Just a drop of it applied to towel dried hair will do wonders, plus it smells great too!
After long exposures to the sun’s damaging rays and not to mention pollution in the Metro, cleansing your skin is a must. I suggest using Japan’s best-selling facial cleanser, Cure Natural Aqua Gel. This certain product is said to be sold every 12 seconds in Japan, which piqued my curiosity. Well, this certainly didn’t fail to impress me and my mom after only one use. It feels like water applied to the skin, but after a few seconds you’ll see dead skin sloughed off once you gently rub off the product. Say goodbye to dirt and hello to clean skin after using this cleanser.
Mario Badescu AHA & Ceramide Moisturizer
A day at the beach leaves your skin dehydrated. Fight this by the use of moisturizers. I am not quite a big fan of moisturizers, but Mario Badescu AHA & Ceramide Moisturizer certainly changed my mind. This yellow gel type moisturizer is not creamy, thick, sticky, or runny. Surprisingly, the consistency feels just right especially when applied to the skin. I love that this product not only rehydrates my skin, but it also reduces sun spots and adds an extra glow to my skin.
Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tube
Every woman’s secret weapon to full, healthy lips this summer – chapstick! Yet, not all chapsticks would do, which is why I highly recommend Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tubes. I’m quite hooked on this brand, which is why I recommend either the Lip Balm with Passion Fruit or Lip Balm with Pink Grapefruit. All of Burt’s Bees lip balms contain an emollient formula that turns dry lips into kissable, soft lips. If you’re prone to dry, chapped lips like me then this is one (or two!) chapstick you should definitely have on hand.
Stenders Grapefruit-Quince Hand Cream
The heat doesn’t only affect the skin on your face. Mind you, it greatly affects the skin on your hands. The elements, especially during the summer, can be harsh on your hands. Bring back the suppleness and softness to your hands with the help of Stenders Grapefruit-Quince Hand Cream. This product is easily absorbed by the skin, so you won’t have to worry about the greasy feeling. Apart from the shea butter ingredient that nourishes my skin, I love the lively citrus aroma.
