The 12th season of the much-awaited annual event hosted a new era of excitement–merging glamor and speed at the country’s biggest beauty event!
Rustan’s The Beauty Source took the 12th season of Rustan’s Beauty Addict up another notch with a unique, elite racing-inspired event that gathered top content creators, industry experts, and beauty enthusiasts for a vibrant Beauty Con that was filled with exhilarating activities from beauty and women empowerment talks to fun games that left everyone out of breath.
Rustan’s Makati’s Beauty Hall was turned into a high-octane wonderland that excited guests from morning till night. Starting from the entry along Courtyard Drive, guests were greeted by a customized Rustan’s The Beauty Source racecar from Tuason Racing at the entrance drop-off that made guests pause for a snap before they made their way into a dazzling installation of vibrant red hues and segmented neon lights.
Beauty met speed as the space was transformed into the ultimate beauty race track where attendees such as R’Bonney Gabriel Nola, Kylie Verzosa, Nicole Andersson, Kerwin King, Patch Magtanong-Cordoves, Jason Delos Reyes, Issa Pressman, Jeline Catt, Danica Ontengco, Nicole Go, Jach Manere, Jelly Eugenio–among many others–joined the adrenaline pumping celebration where they navigated a course complete with “pit stops”, which are dressed-up counters of participating Rustan’s Beauty brands offering fun activities, mesmerizing displays, and premium products that kept beauty lovers in top gear. As guests made their way along the track, the country’s hottest hip-hop DJs, DJ Miaow and DJ Nix Damn P, spun beats that fueled the energy of beauty enthusiasts.
As the afternoon began to buzz with more energy, three pairs took on the challenge as they competed for the top prize with Beauty Addict’s own version of The Amazing Race–”Beauty on the Fast Track Challenge”. Coming out on top were Jeline Catt and Jeanette Ong who won the race and took home the grand prize with their fast and furious wits and grit.
An F1-themed event would not be complete without a high-speed chase! Thrill-seekers felt the rush of Formula 1 as they took on the “Fast and Fabulous Challenge” in Tuason Racing’s racing simulator where participants brought their A-game for a chance to win special beauty prizes.
Alternately, guests also indulged in beauty talks on the main stage which started off with Jeanette Ipapo-Tuason, Founder and CEO of Tuason Racing, sharing insights on self-empowerment and maintaining grace under pressure. Followed by “Formula 1 Fashion”,a styling masterclass from styling duo Roshni Mirpuri and Siya Daryani from The Closet Culture on how to style activewear as daily wear, featuring brands from Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Champion, Rayban, Gucci Eyewear, Saint Laurent Eyewear, and Tom Ford Eyewear. Dr. Rodnie Valerio of Belo Medical Group led “Speedway Shine”, a skin care talk that tackled topics like “The Science Behind Skin Aging” and “Proactive Steps to Slow Down Skin Aging” which had the ladies jotting down notes and heading over to their fave beauty counters. Lastly, local celebrity make-up artists, RB Chanco and Justin Soriano with muse, Tamara Pineda, led the makeup masterclass “Grand Prix Glam” co-presented by Laura Mercier.
Cooling down from the adrenaline rush, guests indulged in a personal and rejuvenating experience at the activity booths of Belo Medical Group (Skin Analyzer), Dashing Diva (Basic Express Manicure), Emphasis Salon (Blow-Dry & Hair Styling), New Lounge (Lash Shampoo & Consultation), and Luxelle (Beauty Devices Demo) where they took a breather and earned a well-deserved beauty break.
