With her son, Robert, Nina Ricci opened her elegant Parisian couture house in 1932, specializing in luxury fashion and fragrance. Madame Ricci exuded a flair for fashion, capturing the personality of her clients in her designs for them. Robert encouraged his mother’s exploration into perfumery with the Ricci house’s first perfume, Nina, followed by Premier Jour and the Les Belles line. In 1948, L’air Du Temps became one of its most successful brands, featuring the famed two-dove bottle designed with Marc Lalique. Other legendary scents like Coeur Joie, Capricci and Farouche established Nina Ricci as “a household name of international fragrances.”
