Cath Kidston Ltd was founded in 1993 when designer Cath Kidston opened a tiny shop in London’s Holland Park. She began by selling vintage fabrics, wallpapers and brightly-painted junk furniture she remembered fondly from her childhood. Her clever, witty re-working of traditional English country house style meant that the brand quickly became a cult success. Often referred to as the ‘Queen of Florals’ Cath has expanded the company steadily over the years to become the international lifestyle brand it is today, with many shops across the world selling her vintage-inspired printed products ranging from toiletries to homeware.
