School is in season once again! I’m pretty sure you’ve got your OOTDs all planned out, but aside from what you wear, what’s in your makeup bag counts too. Fret not because here’s my take on the basic makeup and hair essentials.
Brow-Mazing Brows
Breaks over and that means saying hello to the pile of books lined up this semester. Before you start burning those brows, it would be nice to make sure they’re properly groomed, lined, and filled out. For the perfect arch, I highly suggest K-Palette 1Day Tattoo Lasting 2Way Eyebrow Pencil in natural brown. I love that this pencil-type eyebrow liner is soft but pigmented. It even has a powder on the other end to blur harsh edges for that all-natural look. The best part of this liner is that it lasts 24 hours – best for days when you need to pull an all-nighter.
Pucker Up
Ditch the red lipstick for school and stick to colorful lip crayons. My current favorite would be Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint lip crayons. With more than 15 shades to choose from, you’re sure to find a shade that fits your personality and style. I particularly love not only the colors but the mango and Shea butter ingredients that moisturize my lips.
Be Eye Candy
Skip the dark eye shadow and heavy black eye liner. If you want to attract that crush from last semester, go for bold colors. I suggest you go for Happy Skin Eye Candy Limited Edition 24H Gel Pencil Eyeliners. I love these gel liners which are formulated with Argan oil. These glide on smoothly without the need for tugging on the eye area.
Hair Goddess
Shampoo and conditioner are the basics for hair care. However, take it up one notch with a moisturizing hair crème. I’m currently hooked on Phytodess Creme de Palme. Unlike other hair creams I’ve tried, this isn’t heavy or sticky. It not only helps moisturize your hair, but regenerates, strengthens, and re-texturize hair fibers.
Blot Out Oil
It’s a hassle moving from one class to the next with only little time to freshen up in between. Rather than rushing to the bathroom to pack up on the powder, try Drielle Facial Blotting Paper. It absorbs oil fast and leaves a matte powder finish on your face.
