The season\u2019s hottest trends are treading familiar waters but only in higher degrees with the return of gloss in all its intensity and shine. This time, however, we are wearing them with barely-there makeup. We are also seeing high shine via highlighters and sparkly embellishments (thanks to some last-minute inspiration from HBO\u2019s <\/a><\/span>Euphoria<\/span><\/i>).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Time to burn brighter this season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wine-stained Gloss<\/strong>

Alas, after years of everything matte, gloss has finally crept back into our hearts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The nude\/red glossy lip was spotted over on Chanel, Gucci<\/em>, and Off-White\u2019s<\/em> runways and we have to admit: it\u2019s a super fresh look ideal for spring.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our advice? Take it up a notch with a wine-stained gloss best paired with a barely-there face, says makeup artist Jeff Marquez <\/strong>of Bobbi Brown<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

To achieve the look, Jeff begins with the Vitamin Enriched Face Base<\/strong> to serve as a primer to creating glowy skin. He swipes Bronzing Powder<\/strong> in shade Natural<\/em> on the sides of the face to effect a warm glow. Then he topped the cheeks with Blush<\/strong> in the shade Nectar<\/em>\u00a0and finished off with Highlighting Powder<\/strong> in shade Bronze Glow<\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To create the wine-stained gloss, Jeff used Luxe Matte Lip Color<\/strong> in Red Carpet<\/em> on the center of lips and carefully spread it outward. He then polished the look with Clear Lip Gloss<\/strong> for that perfectly bitten look.<\/span><\/p>\n

Coral Obsession

We\u2019re still not over coral. It just never gets old. The difference this year, however, is a bolder sensibility to go all out monochromatic. Not only is it super easy, but it\u2019s also pretty minimal with only a few multi-use products in a universally flattering shade.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tamara Hernandez from NARS<\/strong> recommends using the Radiance Primer SPF35<\/strong> to revive dull skin and add radiance to the complexion. This is followed by the Sheer Glow Foundation<\/strong> to even out skin while keeping a natural glow. Tamara recommends the use of fingertips for application for a more skin-like finish.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how you can make the most of your makeup products. To create this look, Tamara used The Multiple<\/strong>\u00a0in Puerto Vallarta<\/em>, an iconic NARS<\/em> product ideal for adding a natural blush to cheeks, eyes, and lips. She topped it with the shades Hot Line<\/em> and Crushed<\/em> from the Afterglow Palette<\/strong> for the eyes, Exhibit A<\/em> and Taj Mahal<\/em> blush on the cheeks to intensify the hues. Create a \u201clit from within glow\u201d with a dab of Illuminator<\/strong> in shade Copacabana<\/em> on the high points of the face. Leave everything with a light dusting of Light Reflecting Setting Powder<\/strong> and finish the look with a swipe of Lipstick <\/strong>in the shade Casablanca<\/em> topped with Afterglow lip balm<\/strong> in Torrid<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
